DeepOcean Ghana was awarded a contract by Tullow Oil for work on the Jubilee and TEN fields off the coast of Ghana. DeepOcean, under the contract, will provide Tullow with a light construction vessel (LCV).
The contract is for three years with options for two additional years.
DeepOcean Ghana has mobilized the DP2 ROV/construction vessel Dina Star with two DeepOcean Ghana owned 220HP Constructor ROV systems. The company commenced its offshore work under the contract in mid-March.
The scope of the includes inspection, maintenance and repairs, surveys and subsea construction on the fields.
DeepOcean Ghana, an indigenous Ghanaian company in which Deep Ocean holds a 49% stake, has been working with Tullow in Ghana since February when it mobilized the Rem Forza to undertake multipurpose construction activities on the Jubilee field.
The Rem Forza has now been replaced by the Dina Star, allowing the Rem Forza to continue working with Tullow Ghana to provide accommodation and construction support on the TEN project from March 2016.
