Hayatudeen Investment Limited, a multipurpose company, has offered to collaborate with Genesis Energy Corporation towards accelerating the development of its modular mini hydro power solutions to stimulate job creation, skill transfer and entrepreneurship in the rural areas of the country.
In a statement addressed to the Chief Executive Officer of the organisation, Akinwole Omoboriowo and signed by one of the directors, Mallam Abdulrahaman Mohammed, the firm expressed its willingness to key into the vision of the corporation to resolve the power puzzle in Africa and Nigeria in particular through its programme tagged "lighting up Africa, one community at a time".
Mohammed said the firm was particularly interested in the multiple deployments on the fast-track basis of the modular mini hydro power solutions from Genesis Energy to effectively service some selected states in Northern Nigeria within a short period.
"We had already initiated high level contacts in the states to attract public participation in public-private partnership that would create jobs, transfer skills and create agro-allied value chain activities by providing uninterrupted power supply to our predominate rural farming communities," he stated.
While lauding the recent recognition and selection of Omoboriowo as an industry expert to the board of the African Unity week and Clean Power Africa coming up next year in South Africa, the director assured the management of Genesis Energy Corporation of the capability of his organisation to participate mutually in its vision and efforts to light up Africa, starting from Nigeria.
