Italian global energy major Eni is looking for a rig to complete drilling and well testing tasks for the Coral Norte project, found seaward Mozambique in Region 4 of the Rovuma Basin.
The major has outlined specific necessities for the rig, including a nominal water depth capacity of 3,000 meters, a base drilling depth of 5,500 meters, and the capacity to work successfully in testing conditions, including brutal ocean flows.
Four wells are set to be bored with fire up planned for the 2ndfrom last quarter of 2024. The wells will be attached to Eni's subsequent Drifting Condensed Gaseous petrol (FLNG) office on the possibility, the $7 billion Coral Norte FLNG office - forthcoming endorsement from Government.
Coral Norte is reserved for 1st creation in the final part of 2027 and follow Eni's most memorable Rovuma FLNG office, the Coral Sul FLNG project. Coral Sul accomplished 1st Melted Petroleum gas freight conveyance in August 2022.
The task falls under endeavours by Eni to improve the abuse and benefit of Mozambique's petroleum gas assets.
